AUSTIN J40 PEDAL CAR

Description

This is a solid, original, uncut, Austin Pedal Car.
I have had this and one other for a long number of years and both are now available for sale. The body, while showing surface rust, has no rust through and very little actual pitting, and all of the surfaces are quite smooth requiring very little in the way of straightening. I hope the pictures tell the story. It is a fairly early car with a quite clear serial number showing: 11087.
It has some wiring still in place including the original light switch. The pedal assembly and rear axle is free as is the steering.

hese are not light or small cars and so crating and shipping will not be cheap. If you can pick up near Anderson, SC, that would be the easiest and cheapest. I will build a crate for it for an additional 0 and deliver it to UPS. Estimating size/weight looks like UPS freight would cost about 0 to Atlanta and 0 to Cleveland. The car itself is about 30" wide X 62" long X 20" tall, and I am guessing the weight at 50+ lbs plus plywood base and ends, light framing, and heavy card board covering, I think around 100 lbs. finished total. Buyer pays crating and freight. Let me know any questions you have. I am willing to ship to the US and Canada, others maybe, by prior arrangement and approval.

p.s. Thinking about this a little more, I'd also be willing to drive / meet (half way?) /  deliver within 100/120 miles for $ 100.00 and save us both some expense, time, and effort ( and willing to extend that if you should buy both...we can talk ).
